Sous Vide Carrots

Recipe mostly stolen, but lightly modified from Serious Eats

  1. Prepare a water bath at 183 degrees Fahrenheit (83.9 C)

  2. Season carrots with salt, vacuum seal in a bag along with the butter, brown sugar, and thyme

  3. Cook in the water bath for one hour

  4. Dump the contents of the bag into a nonstick pan, and saute on the stove for a few minutes until the liquid in the bag forms a glaze and the carrots get a bit of brown color to them

  5. Serve as a side dish with dinner or just eat them on their own, since they're seriously the most delicious carrots ever
